There are essentially two main Types of Easements. One, the Affirmative Easement, gives its holder the right to do something on the land of another. The other, the Negative Easement, reserves in its holder the right to keep another from doing something on their land. Ultimately, all Easements can be classified as either an Affirmative Easement or a Negative Easement.
