Richard J. Gabriel has been practicing law for over 40 years. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1975. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota, State of Wisconsin, and before the United States District Courts. Rich is a member of the Minnesota, the Ramsey County, and Dakota County Bar Associations. In addition, Rich is a past co-chair of the Ramsey County Bar Association’s Real Property Section.

Rich’s practice emphasizes transactional and litigation work in connection with closely held business entities and commercial and residential real estate. This has included representation of clients in the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of commercial real estate; the organization of closely held corporations and limited liability companies; business succession planning; the drafting and enforcement of covenants not to compete; breach of contract litigation; mechanic’s lien foreclosure; and general business litigation.

An important part of his practice is devoted to estate planning and the probate of decedents’ estates. Careful analysis is made of the impact of State and Federal tax law as they affect the clients’ plans to distribute assets to the next generation. Rich’s experienced staff assists him in an active and efficient probate practice, involving administration of guardianships, conservatorships, trusts and decedents’ estates.
