Richard J. Gabriel, Esq.

Richard J. Gabriel has been practicing law for over 40 years. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1975. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota and before the United States District Courts. Rich is a member of the Minnesota, the Ramsey County, and Dakota County Bar Associations. In addition, Rich has served as co-chair of the Ramsey County Bar Association’s Real Property Section since 2009.

Rich’s practice emphasizes transactional and litigation work in connection with closely held business entities and commercial and residential real estate. This has included representation of clients in the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of commercial real estate; the organization of closely held corporations and limited liability companies; business succession planning; the drafting and enforcement of covenants not to compete; breach of contract litigation; mechanic’s lien foreclosure; and general business litigation.

An important part of his practice is devoted to estate planning and the probate of decedents’ estates. Careful analysis is made of the impact of State and Federal tax law as they affect the clients’ plans to distribute assets to the next generation. Rich’s experienced staff assists him in an active and efficient probate practice, involving administration of guardianships, conservatorships, trusts and decedents’ estates.

Kyle R. Gabriel, Esq.

Kyle R. Gabriel, is a 2008 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. Kyle’s practice focuses on the areas of Business and Real Estate Law. In terms of business law, Kyle works with individuals and business owners to organize and incorporate new business entities, draft and review internal and external contracts, as well as to represent both buyers and sellers of business assets. Kyle’s real estate law practice includes representing both commercial and residential property owners and purchasers in buying, leasing, and selling their real estate. Kyle also works with a number of condominium and other associations in the Twin Cities, advising them on processes and procedures, rule making and enforcement, and working through the amendment of the controlling documents of associations. Kyle works extensively in the area of landlord-tenant law, representing both landlords and tenants in the leasing process and in housing court. Kyle has also worked extensively in the area of mechanic’s lien law and litigation, representing landowners, general contractors, and subcontractors in the mechanic’s lien filing and litigation process.

Brian S. Vidas, Esq.

Brian Vidas relies on a diverse range of legal experience in assisting clients with their legal needs. He represents clients before federal, state, and local regulatory agencies in employment, real estate, business, and health care issues. Brian also regularly advises clients on corporate and transactional matters and assists in developing corporate policies and practices in an effort to avoid legal disputes before they arise.

Prior to joining the Gabriel Law Office, Brian practiced in Florida where he assisted health care facilities in licensure and regulatory matters. Brian has a breadth of experience practicing before administrative agencies and administrative law judges, representing hospitals seeking to open and establish health care facilities. In addition, Brian has represented educational institutions on a wide array of health, educational, and employment-related matters, including compliance with HIPAA, ACA, Stark and Anti-Kickback laws, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act, the Clery Act, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Brian received his Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2009. Brian earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment & Banking from the University of Wisconsin in 2005.

Brian has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Brian is a member of the Minnesota, Florida, New York, and New Jersey Bars and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Southern District of Florida.

Lynne M. Berg, Paralegal

Lynne M. Berg began her career with the firm as a legal secretary after graduating from the Minnesota School of Business in 1987. From there, she went on to become a paralegal upon graduating from Inver Hills Community College with an AAS degree in paralegal studies. After 23 years, Lynne’s ultimate educational goals were finally attained when she graduated from Metropolitan State University in December of 2007, with a BS degree in business administration.

During her more than 17-year tenure at the Gabriel Law Office, PLLC, Lynne’s main focus has been in the areas of probate, conservatorships, guardianships and trust administration. Lynne enjoys working with clients in the hopes of alleviating some of the anxiety that comes along with these practice areas. She also serves as office manager for the firm by completing the necessary administrative tasks required of a small office.
